Polar expeditions
Oceanwide Expeditions is specialized in ship-based Polar expeditions in Antarctica and the Arctic regions. Our voyages are primarily defined as Polar explorations and we spend as much time ashore as possible. We can be flexible, taking advantage of wildlife opportunities by using our zodiacs for both landings and cruises. Our knowledgeable guides assist on these outings, providing detailed information, also during our lectures on board.
Arctic and Antarctic cruises
Oceanwide Expeditions offers a year-round travel program in the Polar regions. Our Antarctic cruises take place between November and April. During June and October our vessels sail in the Arctic including the North Atlantic Islands.
During our Arctic and Antarctica cruises passengers can enjoy beautiful landscapes and ice-formations. Wildlife in the Polar regions is thrilling, with for example enormous colonies of seabirds, whales, seals, Polar Bears and Walruses in the Arctic and various species of Penguins in Antarctica. During our daily shore excursions you will be able to encounter some of those animals.
